The Resort was established as a Cattle Ranch in 1949, it is located in Northern Cross River State. It is located on a plateau of 1,575.75 metres above sea level. It is 332 km from Calabar; a four hour drive by road. With 22 bends on its meandering road up the hill, one of the most exciting being the “devil’s elbow” which is half way through the stretch. It enjoys a climate typical of the temperate regions of the world. It is the highest peak in the state. The Resort’s temperature is 26oC to 36oC between November and January while the lowest temperature range from 4oC between June and September.

Water park: the Water Park is locat ed at the base of the hill this where the mountain drive begins.
Cable Car: the Cable Car conveys visitors up to the Ranch and it covers a distance of eleven kilometers from the bottom to the top of the Resort. It is the longest in Africa. The Cable Car facility accommodates a reception hall which brings in the bulk of guests from the bottom of the hill.
Gymnasium: the gym is fully equipped with state facilities, manned by seasoned instructors who are always on hand to assist guests.
Games Arcade: this is a delight to both adult and children. We boast of modern digital games for all ages. The games are recreational and competitive.
The Grotto: if you are in doubt about your fitness, test it by going down to the grotto. The gentle gradient of the slope lures you on to one of the most beautiful sites you have ever seen. If you don’t mind the chill in the air and if you are fairly good swimmer, you may take a dip. The experience may even assist you in climbing up.
